Here’s a quick overview of our drying process:
After the process of removing most of the visible water via pumps is complete. Our team will use dehumidifiers as one of the main ways to dry and restore your home or business after water damage from plumbing leaks or from Florida floods. By using dehumidifiers we extract more water, dry your floors, and walls, and stop future mold growth from ever happening.
Our air movers will blow huge amounts of air across surfaces to create evaporation of moisture. The surfaces can be hardwood, carpet, porous surfaces, and tiling that absorbed moisture during a large-scale flood. Our air movers create a bit of a vacuum by moving air horizontally.
Another part of our toolkit is to use flood pumpers. They vacuum up quite a bit of water which makes them the perfect way to clear flooded areas to remove excess water caused by kitchen pipe bursts or even from fire damage.
Our team will also use special ventilation drying fans to move the area throughout the flooded area so moisture will evaporate into the air. Sometimes we send the output flow through an HVAC system for more drying and filtering.
Throughout our process, we use moisture meters in order to help measure moisture. This also lets us know exactly where the moisture is located across a variety of surfaces.
The water damage dehumidifiers that C2C Restoration uses have wheels to make it easy to move them where they are needed. Plus they are designed for easy water removal.
If needed we can use desiccant dehumidifiers to remove moisture from the air. This is done by forcing room air through silica gel which then gets expelled in order to dry air. This type of dehumidifier is perfect when there are large commercial spaces needing a lot of moisture removal
